Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains, in plain language, how SK Play Labs uses cookies and similar technologies — what we store, why, and how you stay in control. It works alongside our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy).

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Similar technologies — such as local storage — let a site save small amounts of data on your device too. Both are used to remember preferences, keep a site working, and understand how it’s used. In this policy, “cookies” is shorthand for all of these unless we say otherwise.

Our approach: as little as possible

We built the site to be light on data. We don’t set a single tracking cookie of our own, and our analytics service is cookieless — it waits for you to choose “Accept” and sets nothing on your device even then. What we store ourselves lives in your browser’s local storage, never in cookies and never sent to us, and you can clear it whenever you like.

Right now that adds up to no cookies at all. We set none of our own, our analytics service is cookieless, and there is no advertising running — so there are no third-party ad cookies either. What the banner controls today is analytics, and nothing else.

The categories we use

Anything a site uses generally falls into one of four groups. Only the first two are in play on this site today; the last two are described so this policy stays accurate if that changes:

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work and to remember your privacy choice. Always on; no consent required.
  • Preferences — remember choices you make, like light or dark theme. Stored on your device.
  • Analytics — help us understand aggregate usage and performance. Loaded only after you accept; the service we use is cookieless, so it sets nothing on your device.
  • Advertising — used to serve, cap, and measure ads. None in use today; described here in case advertising is added later.

What we store today

Here’s exactly what’s in play right now. Everything below is kept in your browser, not on our servers:

Advertising cookies (none at present)

There is no advertising on this site at the moment, and no ad network’s code is loaded. That means no advertising cookies are set — by us or by anyone else. This section describes what would change if we add advertising later, so it isn’t a surprise.

An ad network would typically set cookies to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure whether an ad worked, and — where you have allowed it — choose ads based on your prior visits. We would not set those, read them, or receive the data in them.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, an ad network is required to ask your permission before showing personalised ads, through a certified consent tool separate from our banner. Elsewhere you could turn off ad personalisation at any time through Google My Ad Center or the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Wherever you are, your browser’s own settings can block third-party cookies entirely, and the tools keep working normally if you do. Our Privacy Policy has more.

How to control cookies

You’re always in charge. You can:

  • Change or withdraw your consent any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
  • Adjust or block cookies in your browser settings.
  • Delete existing cookies and clear local storage through your browser.
  • Manage personalised advertising via Google My Ad Center or the Digital Advertising Alliance.

A note on blocking storage

Because we use your device’s storage to remember your privacy choice, clearing or blocking it may mean the banner asks you again on your next visit. Either way, the tools and games keep working — none of them need cookies to run.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. There isn’t yet a single agreed standard for how sites must respond, so we don’t act on these signals automatically. What we can tell you is what we do: we set no tracking cookies of our own, our analytics are cookieless and wait for your explicit “Accept”, and ad personalisation is controlled through Google’s own consent tools and the opt-out links above.

Changes to this policy

As the site evolves — especially if we turn on advertising — we may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and any significant change will be made clear.
