Splitting builds a new PDF from just the pages you pick — the original file on your device is left untouched. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Read our full disclaimer.
About this tool
Often you only need part of a PDF — a single chapter, one signed page, or everything except the cover. This tool lets you name the pages you want, in ranges or singles, and saves them as a fresh PDF. The original never changes and never leaves your device, because the whole thing runs in your browser.
Range syntax
In a 10-page file, '2-4, 9' keeps pages 2, 3, 4 and 9. An open end like '6-' keeps page 6 to the last page.
How to use
- 1Drop in a PDF; its page count appears.
- 2Type the pages to keep — ranges and singles both work (e.g. 1-3, 5, 8-).
- 3Watch the live summary confirm exactly what will be extracted.
- 4Extract, and the new PDF downloads.
Features
- Extract any mix of ranges and single pages.
- Open-ended ranges (e.g. 8-) run to the last page.
- Live preview of the selection, with clear errors for bad input.
- Original file untouched; all processing is on your device.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write the page ranges?
Separate parts with commas and use a dash for a range: '1-3, 5, 8-'. Numbers outside the document are ignored, and the tool flags anything it can't read.
Can I remove pages instead of keeping them?
Indirectly — list the pages you want to keep. To drop page 4 of a 10-page file, enter '1-3, 5-10'.
Does it keep the extracted pages in order?
Yes — the new PDF follows page order and collapses duplicates, so the output is always a clean, ascending sequence.
Is my PDF sent to a server?
No. The split is performed in your browser and the extracted file is generated locally.
