Unit Converter

Length, weight, temperature, data, and more.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or sent to a server.

Conversions use standard factors and are rounded for display — for engineering, legal or trade use where exact precision matters, verify against an official reference. Read our full disclaimer.

About this tool

A single converter for the measurements you reach for most — length (cm, inch, m, ft, mile), weight (kg, lb, g, oz), temperature (°C, °F, K), digital data (KB, MB, GB and the binary KiB/MiB…), speed, volume, area, and time. Pick a category, choose the 'from' and 'to' units, and the result updates as you type, with a swap button to flip the direction. Conversions use standard factors and run entirely in your browser.

Try it

1 inch = 2.54 cm, 1 kg ≈ 2.2046 lb, 100 °C = 212 °F, and 1 GB = 1000 MB.

How to use

  1. 1Pick a category (length, weight, temperature…).
  2. 2Choose the 'from' and 'to' units.
  3. 3Type a value — the converted result appears instantly.
  4. 4Use the swap button to reverse the direction.

Features

  • Eight categories covering the everyday conversions.
  • Both SI (1000) and binary (1024) data units.
  • Accurate temperature conversion (°C / °F / K).

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert kg to lb (and back)?

Multiply kilograms by 2.20462 to get pounds, or divide pounds by 2.20462 to get kilograms. Pick the Weight category, choose kg → lb (or the reverse), and type your value — it converts as you go.

How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?

°F = °C × 9/5 + 32, and °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. So 100 °C = 212 °F and 37 °C ≈ 98.6 °F. Temperature isn't a simple multiply, so use the Temperature category for the correct formula.

What are the most common conversions?

kg ↔ lb, cm ↔ inch, miles ↔ km, °C ↔ °F, and MB ↔ GB are the ones people look up most — all included here.

What's the difference between GB and GiB?

GB is 1000-based (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes); GiB is 1024-based (1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes). The tool offers both, so you can match how a disk or OS reports sizes.

Are the results exact?

They use standard conversion factors and are rounded for display, which is fine for everyday use. For engineering, legal, or trade work where exact precision matters, verify against an official reference.
